Shopping portals can earn points on things you are already purchasing. Link through the portal to whatever website you plan to purchase something and earn points in addition to your normal credit card spend.

- Buy a digital gift card and use this to pay. Can also be used in conjunction with a shopping portal.
- Can be bought once you know the exact total and issued instantly down to the cent. Like if your total is $21.45, you buy a gift card for that exact amount and use it all then. I have even done this in real time at the register of a store.
- Example: The Container Store
- Buy a gift card through United MileagePlus X app for 5x mile per dollar
- Spend the gift card through a shopping portal like Rakuten for 2x Amex points per dollar
- Earn your standard credit cards miles as well, such as 2x on Capital One Venture X
- So for a $100 purchase you could earn 500 United miles, 200 Amex points, and 200 Capital One Miles
- Sign up for Chase and Amex offers in your account online or in app
- Many are cash back earning, but some are additional points earnings
